Emphasize what you can do for the company. Do not include personal information such as age, weight, height, marital status, religious, or political affiliation. Do not mention salary requirements as you may be too high or too low, and it may limit your opportunities. Do not give half-truths or lies. It will come out eventually, and end in termination of your employment. Do not exaggerate. Do not be modest. You do not want to down play the things you are proud of. Do not include things that you have done unless you are willing to do those things again. Whenever possible, tailor your résumé for a particular position. Use the key words and phrases that are in a job description. It will make you look like you are the "perfect fit" for the position.
